Since I come across a lot of products as part of my job and I am always searching for new natural products with no nasties, I thought I would offer a monthly wrap up of my favourite and most used products of the month and my latest finds. There might just be something you would like to try or maybe you have already? I would love to know your thoughts and any other recommendations. Here are my July Favs & Finds…
This is the most used product of mine this month because without fail every winter my hands dry up and start to get particularly bad down the edges of my fingers so I am lathering on hand cream day and night and a few times in between. I am lucky enough to work for Natura Siberia so I have used all of their hand creams, and rotate between them daily. This winter hand cream is my main go-to at the moment, the smell reminds me a bit of marshmallow. The COSMOS approved hand cream range are all made from wild harvested herbs and plants from Siberia with no nasties, and I have had lots of feedback on how well they work on dry hands and would agree! You can find some of them at Chemist Warehouse or all of them and more on the Natura Siberica website.
I seriously love this face scrub! I had not tried this brand until I bought this skin polish. What interested me in this range is the Fruit Stem Cell Science – figured now I am in my 40’s I need a bit of help! I love the fine grain of this exfoliator and the smell. Will defiantly be buying this one again!
This month my Nourised Life purchase was some make up I was desperately in need of. Again this is a new brand for me and there is so much more to their range to try! The range uses fruit pigments. I really like the powdery light feel of the concealer and the chocolate smell of my new ultra lengthening mascara is amazing! I just want to eat it every time I use it. Still getting used to wearing brown rather than black mascara and I don’t feel like it gives me that much extra length but it’s nice for daily use.
I love Burt’s Bees products so am always topping up the drawer with their lip balms and they are so easy to find (most chemists, Target, Big W, health food stores). I hadn’t yet tried their tinted lip balm so grabbed this one in Hibiscus and it doesn’t disappoint!
I didn’t really need this but I wanted to try body oil and I am a sucker for coconut anything. I am in love with this oil!! Feel I should save for Summer as I can imagine lathering it on after a day at the beach…but think it may run out before then.
I was lucky to be gifted these by the gorgeous Adele herself and now I am back wearing bright lipstick! They are cruelty free, palm oil free and vegan, and have a matt look and feel without being drying. Order from her website (if she hasn’t sold out) – they are hot in demand.
This was a discovery for my daughter. I was so excited to see a natural range targeted at tween girls in Priceline when we were away recently. I said she could choose anything and she grabbed this body cream and a nail polish. She loves and uses often. Have since discovered that the range was developed by a clever young lady Izzi who appeared on Shark Tank. Will continue to support her and look forward to trying more of the range! Grab some for the young girls in your life.
This range I just discovered at my local organic fruit and vegetable markets and it really is hand-made by Toby and Rosie. It’s the DIY you could do at home but don’t have the time for! My daughter was drawn to the amazing slabs of soap that look like you can eat them. After trying a few sample sizes the first week we were back to buy a big soap chosen by my daughter called Mocha Exfoliate – it has small granules in it that exfoliate as you wash and yes, it smells of chocolate and coffee! We also decided on a very sweet smelling and sticky looking face mask for all the family to use. Will update on how we like it next month.
Here’s a home product to finish off my July selection. I can’t remember where I picked this up, and although I am trying to use my own DIY vinegar, bi-carb and essential oil cleaning sprays, I do like this. I am even more excited that they have a stain remover spray for clothes which I have just bought and am yet to try…watch this space! And they are another Australian brand. YAY!!
